Could be a couple of different things.  Pick from:

1.  Possibly a 'normal' mutation.  I've had 'rat-tailed' habs before.

2.  Scar tissue from insect bites.  If the fruit has had damage at an
early stage, this can cause scarring as it grows later.  Most often this
appears as bumps- as I advised Miss Dewi in response to a similar
question. 

3.  Invent a reason of your own & make it sound good :-)
