[CH] roasting chilis

Was wondering if anyone has tired roasting peppers on the grill using a
basket that fits over a rotisserie.  I used to have one and the rotisserie
actually had a battery powered self turning device.  This would be a similar
concept (in minature version) to how I've seen new mexico grees roasted at
harvest and at the markets there.  They use a huge barrel shaped basket and
shoot flames at it as it rotates.  Comes out wonderfully.  I'd love to know
if anyone tries this how well it works.
