I got home on Friday night, to find that the pesky wind, which had
already killed some leek seedlings, had tossed my lilac cayenne and
guajillo seedlings off the wall they had been sunning on. The guajillos
suffered some losses, but I think I have saved two. The soil from the
cayennes had been tossed to the four corners of the earth by the time I
got home, and the poor little seedlings had had their roots thoroughly
desiccated when I got in. They were all pronounced DO(my)A.

Got more seeds, but they were the first seedlings I got up. Bugger.
