You can eat slugs and snails after you gorge them on cornmeal to clean them out. Escargot is great with chilies and so much garlic the butter is hot. We also toss in some chervil. Mary-Anne PS I buy mine fresh as they are better--i.e. tender than the canned ones. We have snail farms in CA.
