I'd have to agree with Dr Bob, WD 40, liquid wrench have a good slug of 
isopropyl myristate and/or isopropyl palmitate in them. These have been used 
in cosmetics for years to give the moisturizers that nice light feel. That 
means they work their way into the skin. That's not bad but in the case of 
WD-40, they are carrying a lot of other stuff with them that you really don't 
need. Turpentine contains turpenes which have caused sensitization reactions 
in people. Net, wear gloves.
