1> why not inlude such information (if ingredients are/may be of
genetically manipulated origin) on food labels? public choice is vital to a
free economy regardless if the public is "misinformed" or not, no? simple:
corporate fear that their billions of research dollars will be for waste
because they put their money on the wrong horse...
~~~
Guess what in Europe, Japan and Brazil   and 15 other countries where it was
labeled, it was rejected by the public.
2> if GMOs are so safe, will these corporate entities take full
responsibility for any negative impact of their creations? and by full
responsibility, i mean fix the problems too...addmission of screwing up
won't get it...Monsanto regularly says "oops" and goes about their merry
way...i want blood if someone screws up the environment, i want their
money, their cars, their real estate, their balls...
A couple samples of this
Because of a US Agi Bus screw up there is disease called SV40, that was in
injectable polio vaccine in the early 60's,  Many millions of folks are
going to be some real sick maybe dead from it.
Because of "Trrust your Agi bus"  The long term effects of DDT are still not
over,  Male children born in the late 90's are showing non-funtional sex
organs 5/8" max length, non reproductive capability tool.
Are they going to be $$ responsible  for this
Not hardly
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Novatus has a pat pending to maybe use Black widow or rattlesnake venom in
your chiles, Want to be the first to try it???

You might with out your knowledge or consent
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
yet, i *can* guarantee such will not happen IF: GMOs are banned and limited
to closed, controlled testing facilities for 20-some odd years until
definitive results of long-term testing can be studied and it is found that
GMO seeds, for example, are safe, will not cross with other species, and so
on
I feel that the Agi bus should go thru the same chemical controls as the
AMA. If you are going to put a chemical into my food and into my body then
you make a long term study to make sure it is 99.9% safe and you have an
antidote to go with it,
In my 50 years in the garden I have yet to see the USDA or the Agi bus fix
one single F'up that they have made.
I think when the terms "Financialy and Legally Responsible" as part of doing
business, maybe it would turn around some minute trust in them. At the
moment my trust in them is 1 to the minus infinite power.
