Attended the Central Pennsylvania Hotluck at Red Lion, Pa this past weekend.
The weather was perfect, sunny and about 70 degrees. There were about 40 folks
in attendance, about half of them were Chileheads. There were a number of
knuckledraggers who either did not know about the mailing list or had trouble
subscribing. We are going to try to get them on board.

There was a wide variety of dishes available... Texas Brisket barbecue, a
curry shrimp dip, asian beef salad, crabmeat, chile and cheese stuffed
jalepenos, a killer peach habanero salsa, spicy sirloin tips, spicy devilled
eggs. Chile bread, a peach habanero jelly with cream cheese, several batches
of chicken wings, one with mary's Psycho Bitch hotsauce. I did my standard
grilled chipotle/brandy marinated portabellas.

One of the standout dishes, comparable to any of the hottest batches of Jim's
"The Bread" was a tin of innocent looking chocolate chip cookies. Baked by two
time winner of the Bowers Chile Festival Jalapeno eating contest, Doug Barnhart
presented "Chocolate Habanero Chocolate Chip Cookies" Made with two kinds of
habanero powder and 10 or 20 drops of "Pure cap" these babies looked and
started out tasting like any good batch of tollhouse cookies. after about 10
seconds though, the moaning, sweating and expletives start flowing in unison!
Tammy Porter after only a small crumb was heard crying "This is just not right!
This is not right!!" Several people outright accused Doug of being evil.

Understand that this was just a small portion of the dishes that were
available. Hopefully others will fill in the ones I missed. I forgot to add
there were a few hotsauces available for tasting, check out:
