If I have Dieback on other Chiles (Annums mainly)the stems stay woody
and relatively  dry and when pruned seem to survive (they look terrible
but they do survive)..

There are other possibilities,  A couple are pots that are to small.
Overfeeding.
~~  This will place too much salt in the soil.

My next attempt at overwintering a hab will be one hab in a 10 gal garbage
can
