I'm always looking for hot ways to spice up my sandwich mayonnaise. I really
enjoy mayo made from scratch using EV olive oil, but it seems like I never have
the time to make it when my jar gets empty. So recently I have just been adding
minced peppers and spices to store bought mayo. My latest experiment turned out
great. My Orange Habanero is really loaded right now, so last night I picked 8
perfect pods and put them through the blender and added them to a cup of mayo.
To this I added dry onion flakes and minced parsley. Then I added the new
ingredient - Orange Oil. I just used 3 or 4 drops of the orange oil (actually
orange flavoring from the grocery store). It is marvelous! It seems to
intensify the hab flavor. I'm dipping pretzels in it as we speak.
