[CH] Munich - looking for recommendations

I'm planning on going to Italy and have a layover in Munich for 3 1/2 hours.  
Any German chile-heads have any recommendations on what a chile-head can do 
not to far from the airport.  I'd also be interested in some beer gardens.  
I'm not going to be there untill Sept 2nd.
