Folks,
   ... just got lucky today with planting pails ( as described by Doug
).
my local U-Brew outlet gave me several 23 litre ( 6 US gal. )
food-grade pails, with lids/saucers, that once held grape juices for
making wines. VERY sturdy, designed to carry liquid to the rim, so
there should be no probs with soil & chiles !
a couple of holes for drainage & away we go !
  Canadian CH's in Ont. & BC might want to inquire at the "local".
you know ... re-use, recycle, reduce,  ... all that good stuff.
and what the hey ... you could make some wine while you're there!   :)
   save me a glass, huh?   ;-)

BTW any Vancouver CH's , seeking garden space, might contact me.
