One of the odd ways I get seeds is when people buy a house and bring me
old seed packs or jars they find in the garage or basement. The oldest I
had was marked 28 years previously. It germinated at 85%.
The oddest was a piece of newspaper someone brought me that had some seeds
stuck to it with pepper seeds scrawled in the margins. I planted the seeds
and they came right up and I am still growing that lovely Hungarian pepper
today.
Of course, it might be the Lenape germination prayer I use that does the
trick.
