a sandwich toaster kinda squishes the bread slices together , seals the edges and heats the whole shooting match up ..
you gotta be real careful when you bite into one with cheese in it though .. a friend of mine actually ended up with blisters on his chin after molten (read like lava)cheese squirted out of one !!

What is a sandwich toaster?
