Well, since the fields are being mentioned a bit here, I thought it
might be appropriate to announce a few things.
#1 A reminder that the dates are October 6th & 7th
#2 I will shortly be offering for sale a beautiful full color poster
designed for me by a couple of list folks (Jeff S & Brad E). It will be
used to cover the costs to rent a LARGE tent (so that we can stay DRY
this time), the port-o-lets (so you're not faced with a 5 mile drive to
use the can at 3 AM), provide some food, a nominal fee to my landlord
for his generous use of the place, and gift stuff for everyone that
shows up. Any remaining money will be donated to the Indianapolis
Firefighters Burn Camp.
#3 I have the pleasure of announcing and RSVP of particular note: Tony
Flynn is coming to this years event all the way from New Zealand!! I
think that it will be a given he'll get the prize for 'furthest
travelled' :-)
It ought to be a REALLY fun event this year. It is also possible that
it might be the last one. It won't be too much further in the future,
if all goes right (or wrong depending on your view ;-) that I will be
subbing out my chile growing to a local commercial outfit. Being all
things to all people is KILLING me :-) I'll still have total
involvement in the chile growing, but all the other associated headaches
(LABOR!) will be someone elses'... I hope.
Still, might have to continue to grow a small patch just for this event
