I will sometimes pick a few peppers or other veggies to ripen on the counter and that causes major fruit fly infestations at certain times of the year. I take a canning jar with a lid and ring and poke holes in the lid and fill the jar about 1/3-1/2 full of apple cider vinegar and set it out on the counter. The flies get into it and can't get back out and it works like a charm. Patty
