Hi, all -- new member to the list.  Active chile-head in Georgia, currently
growing my first crop since arriving here.  I'm having a problem in one
isolated area of my garden (one plant, actually).  The plant was setting
flowers and had some new growth but was droopy and the leaves started to
curl.  Ultimately, the plant died.  Suspecting that my problem was in the
subsurface, I excavated an area approximately 8 inches around the plant and
noticed what appeared to be root maggots all over the place.  I removed all
of the soil, replaced it with fresh, and replanted.  Now, the same thing
appears to be happening again -- obviously, I didn't get all of the little
fellas.  So, here are my questions:
