The idea of staking your Jals up is a good one - but not while wet.

Walking in the garden while wet damages the soil structure - and
handling wet plants increases the risk of speading any diseases which
might be present.

The plants will (would have been) okay if you'd waited until conditions
were drier.

And, yup - they'll recover.  Just give them a few days -
