[CH] Hungarian Hot Wax Question

This my first experiment growing my own peppers so please be patient with
me. I've got Hungarian Hot Wax, Thai and Tobasco plants that I've grown
from seed. So far only the wax pepper plants have produced much.
On the Hungarian Hot Wax plants I've harvested quite a few yellow pods.
Some have started to go directly from green to red without turning yellow
and some I've let go past yellow to mature into red. I've cut open a few of
the peppers that are turning red and found that the seeds are turning black
and there seems to be a mold growing on the inside. Any idea what's going
on?
