When volunteer corn plants come up in soy fields, they are often killed by 
using Roundup or some such in a "wand" application - the herbicide isn't 
sprayed, it's saturated onto absorbent material on long wands held out 
horizontally, too high to reach the soy plants but the right height to swipe 
the taller corn volunteers.  So there's a reason to develop a 
Roundup-resistant soy...
