[CH] strange bell pepper

Morning list!  I have one green bell pepper plant and it is behaving
strangely.  It's putting on lots of peppers but they are all pointed.  They
look more like hearts than bells.  Taste fine - actually better than the
ones I had last year.  Any ideas?

Also, I'm wanting to save seeds from my Jalapeno plant.  Nice sized peppers
with good heat and flavor!  It's planted in a row with several other pepper
plants.  Do I need to worry about cross-pollination or should my seeds be
true?
