Gordon Sinclair was a very prominent reporter, broadcaster, columnist,
and by his own admission, a real curmudgeon! He lived from 1900 to 1984,
and he is still missed by a lot of us oldies. He wrote that piece in
the early 1980's and it is a classic, and it does indeed represent how
most Canucks feel about our Merkin cousins. There are exceptions to
that, of course, just as I am certain that some Americans dont like us,
but hopefully, they also are in the minority.....We can all hope and
