Decloaking to send condolences to all in the US and to everyone who lost family
and friends after the day of terror. We are unutterably sad for a world in which such things can
happen.

We feel directly involved, as we have family staying here from New York, and they may be here for a
long time still. Their flight home was supposed to be on Wednesday.

I have subscribed to this list for years, and feel almost as if I know many of you, and I hope you
take some solace from the thought that most of us around the world are with you at this time. Last
night we sat quietly with a lighted candle, and listened to Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto, the
second movement. It brought us a sense of peace.

By the way, so as to include the word, I have been growing chiles for years here in the Algarve, the
most southerly province of Portugal.
The climate is perfect for chiles: equivalent to US Zone 14 I was told.

take care
