I do not recall the last time I posted to the list on an off topic theme,
this attack on America(including us)has prompted me to do so. In my 75
years here, I have seen many conflicts, and only a couple of them have
been religious, but all of them have been idealogical, and now we have
one which is both, which I feel will engulf the non Islamic world,
against the Islamic lunatic fringe. Unfortunately, religion of whatever
stripe or "brand" has played a major role in far too many world
conflicts over the history of the world. Seems like everyone on this
list, who knows Jim Campbell(he, of the "bread")is aware now that he
lost his sister's husband, whose office was in a direct line of contact
of the airliner which hit the Pentagon, so in a way all of the Chile
Heads are affected. The United States of America cannot stand still for
this kind of terrorism, and attack against these shores, and will take
appropriate action against these people who call all others infidels,
and the great Satan. How this will affect us all, only time will
determine. Hopefully, next year the peppers will still grow, and the
chile heads will still rejoice when they get that first pepper of the
season(mine was a Thai Dragon)and life will go on, after all of the
current problems are resolved....without, sadly, all of the folk who
lost their lives in NYC.
