I'm getting ready to mail some chipotles from here in the beautiful midwest to a friend in Oregon. I used my new vacuum packer machine to suck out all the air and then I'll put them into a padded bag. I'm not sure how this would work with the fresh peppers but vacuum packing them would help them stay fresh longer than just a vegetable bag (the ones with slits in them).
