Hi Gang,

Welcome back from the fields! The campfire looked like fun. And if
that was Rael in the pepper pants and plaid shirt.....you look
different than the old photos we saw. Less hair, better fed.......

So, let me get at my question. Does anyone have a good Jalapeno
mustard recipe? My neighbor had one that you cook and it was great
but I haven't been able to get her to answer my e-mail. Could be a
family secret or sumpthin! Freezing frost has hit here in Upstate NY
and I have fetched all the produce out of the garden and to the
kitchen. Strangely enough, the Carribean Reds did better than all
the other chiles other than the Thai hots. The jals and cayenne
didn't do much and the Tabasco didn't have enough time to reach
maturity (me either for that matter but I digress.)

Made some Jamaican Jerk paste with some of the Reds. I highly
recommend making a batch if you never have. Easy to make and lasts
for a year in the fridge (if you don't use it, I mean.) I have about
5 recipes that are all very similar but has ranging levels of the
pretty much the same ingredients to I just wing it. Many of the
other peppers will just get dehydrated and ground. My family likes
the black and red spice from Penzeys so I just make our own.

Hope you have all had a good harvest. Overall, the garden was good
this year and kept me out of trouble for the most part!

Thanks in advance,
Linda
