Ok, I promised a few folks I'd do a review.

Now, mind you, this restaurant doesn't have chiles in everything. But,
it will blow you away.

George Starkey (the Salsa God) and myself (both of us are list members
of course) ate lunch at La Cabanas in Indianapolis on the corner of
37th street and LaFayette Road.

I didn't order the mole, because I couldn't pass up the buffet. Hey,
how can you pass up fried plantains? ;-)

EVERYTHING was wonderful. The fried tilapia was out of this world.
They had a dish that reminded me of a cross between Naan and fry bread.
In the center of the bread, there was a thin layer of refried beans.
On top of this you put a slaw and ate it. The slaw had slivers of
jalapenos. The whole thing was wonderful. The slaw was fabulous.

Their salsas was fantastic too. I love fresh ground pepper in salsa.
It gives it that nice earthy bite to compliment the bite of chiles.

The meatball dish was also quite wonderful. Nothing was blaringly hot
or spicy. It was all so wonderful. I can't say enough.

Oh, if you enjoy a tip of beer now and then they have a very nice
collection of beers from Mexico and a few other central american
countries.

Yes, George, I'm a convert!

Ted
