I'm not sure this responds to what you're asking, but anyway...

I have a bottle of 'Habanero 750', which is a red oil supposedly 750,000
Scoville (and this is probably about accurate, based on usage results).
Unlike any other high-capsaicin formula I have ever encountered, this
product has a delicious chile flavor. And, as bonus, it adds the beautiful
red color from chiles and does _not_ add any non-chile flavors, e.g.
spices, fruits, singed cat hair, whatever. (A great product, and 750,000
Scoville is hot enough to meet my needs. The only reason I would need
something like a 6M sauce would be to attain the desired heat-level before
adding enough sauce to notice whatever off/unwanted flavors they always
include in those sauces, which obviously is irrelevant if the sauce
actually tastes like chiles.)

So, there is an existence proof that good-tasting high-capsaicin products
are possible.

Unfortunately, I understand the company that made this product is no longer
in business, hence Habanero 750 no longer made or available. :-(

I would love to hear of a second representative of this class of product.
