Mary,

Cambodian food is somewhat similar to Thai but very bland. It's mainly
fried or steamed fish and they have a couple of special noodle dishes.
There are many many Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese restaurants in the
bigger cities and PP has very good French and Italian restaurants. Most
of the Cambodian food restaurants are run by beer companies so the beer
often flows much faster than the food. There are lots of places to eat
in PP on the Sisowan Quay along the Tonle Sap River. The FCC is a good
place to learn more as places open and close every month.
