well, new to me, anyway...

i always check out the hot sauce section of my supermarket...so when i spot
this bottle today, i look at the ingredients...hmmm...serrano chilies
(sic), fifth ingredient in the list...mmmm, serranos - my favorite...so i
take a chance...

bring it home and splash some on some fritos...good citrusy taste, and my
forehead is wet...it has respectable heat...good stuff...i will be checking
out the rest of the line next week...

it's called "perks peri-peri african heat"...a quick trip to the web site
http://www.perksperiperi.com reveals the following:

Then there was the friend who remarked, with some humor, "it's so damn
good, I don't care if it shortens my life!"

What they're talking about is the "flame from Africa", Perks Peri-Peri, a
wonderfully hot and spicy marinade and basting sauce making its way onto
the American market.

"The Peri-Peri bean, grown only in Africa and the Iberian Peninsula, is the
source of our distinctive flavor", says Steve Perkins, founder and owner.
"Then we add fresh lemons, onions, chiles, and other natural spices to
create a final blend that represenets a whole new taste in the fiery foods
arena", he continued.
[end quote]

peri-peri bean?...anybody know what this is?...

anyway, i really like the sauce and if you run across it, give it a
try...oh, yeah, the price?...$2.99 (american) for 12 ounces...
