Parentage is the seed hybridizer's biggest secret. They don't even 
have to patent their hybrids cause nobody else can reproduce them. 
The really big hybridizers even keep dna records of their seeds. If 
they find out that someone who didn't purchase from them is selling 
a variety called "Thai Dragon", they can prove in court that it's 
counterfeit seed.
