First, thanks to chilehead@tough-love.com for passing on my message
(further/new info on DeWitt's findings 'bout chipotle);
I just recently returned to the list and still have to get used to how it's
working (in other words, was too stupid to read the info right away).

So, seems like I got "infected with chileheadedness" when I spent a high
school year in Indiana; now, I've been growing chile peppers in my native
Austria for a few years, somewhat more recently started writing on the
(preferably traditional/heirloom) varieties being cultivated in Europe (best
of all if they are actually European varieties, but anyway...) - finally
coming to be available in English, in a sensible manner, at
www.plantacultura.org/en/capsicum/
Now, I might even manage to find a mentor and write a thesis on the European
capsicums...I'll have to see if it works out, but I'm trying.
Well, enough of that babble. Hot regards,

Gerald Schmidt
