This is somewhat off topic, but I need to share it with you.

A little over 2 weeks ago, a bandmate and I were returning home in my van
from a gig in Angola, Indiana. Many of you Indiana folks have heard of
Skip's Party Place, a fine blues and rock establishment in Angola.

Unfortunately, my bandmate and I were struck by a drunk driver that was
speeding southbound in the northbound lane of 1-69, just south of Marshall,
Michigan. My friend was airlifted to Kalamazoo, but did not make it due to
massive bleeding. I am home with 3 broken ribs, several other bruised ribs,
and a contusion on my right long. Here is an article about the incident:

Dave left behind 3 kids and a wife; therefore we are doing a benefit for the
family on Thursday, April 4th, 2002, starting at 8pm. The location:

Attic Bar
11667 Joseph Campau St
Hamtramck, MI
313-365-4194

There will be lots of bands, food, sweets and of course, plenty of hot
sauces to go with the various Cajun and soul food dishes being prepared.
Donations for the Hull family will be collected at the door, and all
proceeds from the sale of Blues Express CD's will go to the family as well.

This has been a mentally and physically painful experience for me. Working
on this benefit helps. As a side note, Dave grew some mean Hungarians,
jalapenos and serranos in his back yard, along with some killer tomatoes
that were always great for my salsas and pico de gallo. Dave was always
sharing his crop with fellow band members, work mates, and the congregation
at his synagogue!

If anyone has any more questions, please write me. As part of keeping my
lungs clear, I am applying extra heat into my diet on a daily basis. I
BELIEVE IN THE HEALING POWERS OF CHILES, AND THE PEOPLE THAT CALL THEMSELVES
CHILEHEADS.
