This morning, 19 April, there was frost on roofs of neighborhood houses in
sunny San Jose, California! This is unprecedented, I believe. We've been
having very cool weather all this week. Fortunately, though, frost on
rooftops is not quite the same as frost on ground, so no known damage so
far.
We even had a killing frost late in March this year -- previously the
latest such an event occurred here, in the past 25 years I've been keeping
records anyway, was first week of February (and even so only once occurred
after January). Thank goodness there aren't any effects yet from Global
Warming, which doesn't exist anyway :-)
