Well, Lawyer Jim, I'm an advocate of restorative justice. Dear daughter has
to find some way to make it right...preferably with her own hard earned
money...and that might just be a shopping trip to search out a new bottle of
chipotle/cheddar or some other appropriate replacement. Whether or not you
accompany her on said trip is a personal choice but be warned that if you
send her own shopping on her own she will probably return with many lovely
things, for herself, and forget she had a mission to begin with LOL!
When one that age is required to spend his/her own cash for something for
someone else (that is not a gift of their own choosing etc.) it makes a
fairly indelible impression on behavior.
