Hot Luck Report - #1

Back from the NJ Hot Luck about 3 hours now. It ended
around 6:45. Got home nearly 7:30.

There was lots of great food, not all of it very hot.
Hottest item was, hands-down, Mark's Kabobs with the
Sauce. I want the recipe for that one. So good. All
gone and none to bring home to share.

Nancee's Spring Rolls were excellent - especially the
sauce. I took one for the road. Yum.

Thai Noodles - don't remember the names of the people
who brought them but they also brough the recipe for
everyone to take. I didn't unfortunately. Whoever has
it, please post it. They were very good. DH thought
they were quite hot, I didn't but they were mildly
hot. Enjoyable.

Chip's BBQ was delicious. Brought home some for DH and
he liked it alot. I have enough for lunch tomorrow
too.

I brought Fiery Habanero Bread, Chipotle Hummus, and
assorted snacks. I also made a Papaya Salsa that was
ok. No recipe though. I brought Chile Today, Hot
Tamale Pretzels in Three flavors - Chipotle, Habanero
and Roasted Garlic. I also brought Mesquite chips and
Habanero Limeade.

Karen got lots of boxes with sauces and sprinkles in
them - Firegirl (thank you for the Psycho Bitch in two
flavors), Jim C (sent his Chipotle Sauce, Habanero
Sauce, new Chipotle Rub, and a small thing of Red
Savina sprinkles), and Chip brought his 20 Pepper
Sauce, 20 Pepper Salsa and enough bags of his dry rub
and chili powder for all.

Of the sauces we tried, the best was Psycho Bitch On
Fire. The Worst was one with Chocolate Habs as the
first ingredient - all the heat was on the tip of the
tongue and ended up on the lips after that. There was
an interesting one that had hemp in it.

Mark had a bit of Liquid Stoopid and it took him
awhile to get over it.

Doug made it this time. No migraine. Lost a few pounds
too. He brought some sausages that were quite good but
mild (boo-boo - he brought the wrong ones). He also
took some of Karen's jalapenos and stuffed halves with
sausage and cheese and put them on the grill. Not bad
for an impromptu item. Yum.

We also ate tiny habs off Karen's plant. Boy were they
hot but yummy.

That is my report. Let's see what the others say.
