[CH] Fresno chile shortage in California?

Hi all C-H'ers

I'm an old timer on this list but have been pretty quite for
the last few years (sub since '95). Anyhow to make a long
story short, I just recently started working as the web
specalist (AKA webmaster) for cfbf.com (California Farm
Bureau Federation).
My boss in the news division got a call today saying
somethi9ng about a Fresno chile shortage in California.. but
no details.. anybody in CA here anything about this is  just
somebody's hoax...??? (sorry if this has been discussed but
I'm way behind on my c-h email)
