I've posted the best of my pictures from the 2002 Bowers PA Chile Pepper
Festival held on September 7, 2002. Take a look at Doug Barnhart defending
his Jalepeno Eating contest crown and fellow CH's Risa, =Mark, Chip Welsh,
Doug Barnhart and others.

At the end of the album are some photos of a great woman who has a home
business making chilehead clothing. She lives right in Bowers, PA (home of
the festival) area and makes the best custom CH clothing I've seen. There is
a sad story here and I will post the details seperately when I have all the
info, but the bottom line is that the festival organizers have been
strong-arming her to cease and desist her use of the 'Bowers' name or
chilehead logo on any of her products. They nearly forced her out of
business this year as she had already purchased alot of hats that would bear
her superior rendition of the local festival icon - fact is that the local
organizers have been selling the same boring 'official' festival hat for
years now and at least this woman provides some variety. I will provide
details on a campaign to stop the tactics of the festival organizers and let
this woman continue to make and sell her great CH clothing products in the
near future.
