The species is C. frutescens and not C. baccatum or C. annuum.
Tepin is C. annuum
Use a tabasco or similar chile and you will not be far wrong.
Other common names African devil, Zimbabwe bird... malagueta

Commercial C. frutescens vars like Santaka will probably do
fine. Check with your local seed companies.
