While many will probably recommand spending 100-300 bucks on a bar
blender, I recently decided against this and bought a Oster 6642
for about 45 bucks for the same use you mention.

My former blender was an OLD Oster with plastic jar and not
very strong motor, and sucked at bar drinks, smelled like cap,
stained red from red chile, cracked, etc.

This new one, with the 450 watt and the all-metal drive and glass
jar makes great margaritas and does a much better job on my sauces.
I would buy it again especially on the price point.

So, while I'm happy with it, and could buy 5 for the price of a good
bar blender, you still may decide against it. Have a good one!
