Jim and All:

I have to disagree. Organic growing practices require little if any
rotation. Check the "Organic Farm" section of my web site to see how we
do it.

As Shep Ogden (The Cook's Garden) tells me - "Just put more [organic
matter] in than you take out."

We grow more than an acre of chiles - almost 2,000 plants this year -
and have no pest problems. The reason: companion planting (a companion
chart is also under the "Farm" section on the site) and lots of manure
(sheep, llama, cow, and horse) and compost.

Try growing organically next season - maybe just take 1/4 acre to start,
and expand as you can. It really works.
