Well, Mr. King, I think that you should not call anyone a quack, who 
advocates the use of capsaicin for medical problems. I can prove to you 
that it works for arthritis as a  topical application. I refuse to 
accept that all things herbal are the greatest, but I also refuse to 
accept that they are useless, or the work of quackery. The use of chiles
is now so widespread, that if they did no good at all, it would be very 
hard to believe. I think that time will tell, just how good the chile is 
in many different applications, all it will take, is a few dedicated 
medical folk, who also are chile heads. Not so long ago, anyone who ate 
chiles, was asking for stomach ulcers, until it was proven that the 
capsaicin killed the bugs that were causing the ulcers. This was 
documented here,a few years ago, if my ancient memory serves me. Never
