Lew Wheeling and I competed for the second time at the CASI (Chili
Appreciation Society International) World Championship Chili Cook-off this
past Saturday, in Terlingua Texas. I made it to the quarter-finals and Lew
made it to the semi-finals. There were over 300 cooks and even to compete
you must qualify by placing in the top 10. Needless to say we are pleased by
the results. If anyone wants to take a look at our recipes or has an
interest in cooking in a CASI sanctioned event please contact me off list.
CASI is a charitable organization that hold chili cook-offs all over the
country.
Also, it was recently announced that our Best Batch Chili Mix has won it's
third Scovie Award in a row. This time we finished second.
