I've been using AVG for over 2 years. There is no expiration as it is a
completely free program for private use. Don't know what happened to yours

AVG,  a heads up,  that is FREE for 30 days. Mine stopped working,  I didn't
see a notice,  Then Kleez.

If you do a windows "Remove" it leaves
5 parts behind.
