Hey Helen,

Glad you liked the peppadews, I have enjoyed them for years, even though
they are not very hot. There is supposed to be a hot variety, but I
have never found them. They were supposedly "discovered" in South
Africa by a guy named Stoney, and they are marketed in the original jars
as Stoney's peppadews. He claims to have a patent on the peppers, but I
have seen a lot of discussion on whether or not they are just plain old
cherry peppers. He does put them in a nice sauce, though.

I'm sure our SA chiliheads on the list can tell you more than you ever
wanted to know about peppadews.
