This was tonight's dinner - Spicy Shrimp w/Asparagus.
This came out pretty good.

I served it with some chinese chile paste on the side.

If you don't eat bulghur wheat, which is what I served
it on top of, use white rice. I like something bland
so that you can really taste the flavors - the chiles,
the lime juice.

     1/4 tsp chile powder
     1/4 tsp black pepper
   1 lb large shrimp -- peeled &

                        Accompaniment:
   1 1/2 cups bulgur

Preheat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Drizzle in oil. If using a wok, drizzle around the
edges and let the oil drip down into the center. Add
the asparagus, garlic, salt, pepper, crushed red
pepper and chile powder. Stir-fry for 2 minutes;
stirring frequently. Add shrimp, and cook for 4
minutes, stirring frequently.

Stir in broth and lime juice. Bring to a boil. Remove
from heat and serve with bulghur wheat (or rice).

Serving size: 4 shrimp a piece and 1/2 the asparagus
and a little over 1/2 cup grain.

NOTES : Risa's notes:

* I used key lime juice as that is what I had. Use
regular lime juice or some lemon juice, almost any
citrus juice will do.

If you don't have bulghur wheat, any rice will do as
long as it is fairly plain in taste. No rice pilafs or
mixtures. You want the flavor of the shrimp and the
chiles to come through.
