(Dumb old me sent this yesterday, in _HTML_ - d'oh! ',;~}~ ) Well folks - the wife and I (thass right - I got married a week last Friday! ',;~}~) grew our first chiles this year. Out of the mixture we planted, seems only the cayennes (maybe some others that look like 'em - we ditched the labels in the name of fun, heheheh) and possibly a couple scotch bonnets survived (the rest died off in the early stages from neglect as we were busy/out of town and short of resources during an early hot spell ;-( ). These didn't grow fast, or large (tended well in a good hothouse), and some of the flowers died before successfully setting fruit, but we do have small a crop! Picked 9 large ones the other day, gloriously red, and we've used a few - they are so damned _sweet_!!!!! I've eaten plenty of cayennes over the years, but none with such sweetness and flavour! Oh, and _hot_! Not hab or S/bonnet hot, but _hot_ nevertheless ',;~}~ Got more ripening, more starting to grow, so, should get a few off these, and next year, we'll be planting more and taking more care to ensure they grow quick, healthy and strong! Cheers folks - hope you've all had at least some measure of success this year. Shaun aRe - can't wait 'till the bonnets ripen.....HhhhmmmmMmmm! P.s. - Married life, is very good life, indeed!
