Well I seem to have messed up somehow in saving and selecting seeds for this 
season; I have a small pot that was supposed to have one kind of pepper, but 
has three.  And I don't even know what some of these are.  I think I 
recognize the Medusa, and the tallest might be aji amarillo, but now I see 
there's a mid-sized one with small, pointy, erect, jet black pods.  What the 
heck?  I don't ever remember seeing anything like that before.  I'll try to 
get some closeup shots, and post a link.

Right now, I'm headed for the shower.  I've spent the weekend in a friend's 
hickory forest, swinging a Ryobi brush cutter to clear a track and a 
campsite.  It was beautiful up there.
