To me it had a taste all its own. No chile flavor,
no chemical residue from concentration processing, just
heat with something I can't quite find the words to
describe, other than to say it was not unpleasant.
Maybe it was the taste of pure heat. There has been
discussion on the list that heat should be its own taste
category.
