I finally got around to breaking out the dehydrator and drying the peppers I brought home with me. The garage is replete with the odor (pleasant odor that is) of drying peppers. I loaded up about nine trays of peppers. Give them a couple of days and I can begin on this year's batch of chili powder. By the way, I wanted to thank everyone for the nice compliments on my Texas Chili. I might even take your advice and enter it in next year's chili cookoffs... we'll see. -----Original Message----- From: owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com [mailto:owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com] On Behalf Of George A. What an incredible array of excellent food! To everyone there, it was great to meet and see you, hooking up new faces to new names. And those Satan's testicles... did someone spend too much time reading the Army manual on sabotage? WOW, those really set the tone for preposterously hot, for me at least. Even the atomic olives relented after a short while! Beth, I especially want to thank you for the tamales. Those are my new personal drug of choice! I hope the frost stayed away from the fields last week? Talk to you y'all soon George
