Dave Anderson Wrote Hi folks, I recently sold some Tepin seeds to a seed company in the United Kingdom. This morning I received the following: "I have had to contact Thompson & Morgan in the UK as they are now stating Tepin as exclusive to T&M They have informed me I cannot sell it as Tepin as they have exclusive rights from the breeder Redwood seed company in the USA to sell Tepin in the UK." I replied that the only person who might have been able to obtain an exclusive right to that variety was Christopher Columbus. and gave this URl http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/Pungency.htm ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Luke in Oz replied >> Sounds Like Bullshit To Me >> Part A They might have Exclusive rights to sell Redwood Seeds Tepin seed in the UK but it sounds like they are trying to get out of paying you for the shipment. They probably signed an agreement with T&M/Redwood saying that they would only source and sell their seed.I Expect my 3 1/2 YO plant to produce more than the 800 Tepins I got off it last year, I have another 8 plants in the ground this year, and expect maybe a couple of hundred tepins off them, only babies 8" tall so far, but our growing season is not yet upon us.. My Mother Bush bore till April-May last year, Original Seed Sourced from an Nice Native Indian Lady (Isobel) at LUPES GARDEN CENTRE FM 1960 NW Houston early November 6 or so yrs ago, came from her own plant that was 3' Tall, she had brought it into the centre to overwinter it. They had no Tepin seed for sale and this lady gave me some from her own personal plant <Gratis>.. Standard Disclaimers Apply. but FWIW if there are any CH's still left in Houston passing by, please call in and give her my regards, maybe buy some of those Wicker Christmas Deer, their prices were good then and probably still are.. Anyway Dave I'm growing them here in the deep south, hard little suckers to germinate but I am going to try some other methods this yr <Bird in a Cage method> FBG.. As for the URl, Bosland does not have Manzanos on the list nor many other types, My Tepins were wicked last yr here in Oz as we had a Super Dry yr, and look like having another one.. I'd still rather eat a Oj Hab than the Equivalent weight in Tepins,But then again I like the Citrus Flavour of Oj Habs.. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Part B Paul Burke asked Wondering if anybody has any clipart pic's or .gif's of chili's or related stuff they could send me - or direct me to a web site./ Luke in Oz replied .. Try UK Chilehead in Google and you will end up at Graeme Caseltons Site, http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~gcaselton/chile/chile.html Plenty of Pictures there but take the time to say hello to Graeme, and ask him nicely if you can use the images he has collected, Won't hurt to be polite and he is a Nice Guy and list member from WAY- WAY- BACK in Ancient CH List history>> Don't tell him I sent you though I still owe him some hi-res Tepin flower Images <G> ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ OT Acquired a 1968-69 Patek Phillipe Master Clock System/ used in a Hospital that closed down here in Coffs, Seem to remember one or two Ch were working in that industry and wondering if they knew anything about these, This is a 240volt/24 volt unit I have some paperwork for it but its minimal, looking for a manual..Much too big to wear on ones wrist but its the only Patek Phillipe i'll ever own..
